If you thought the art of ambulance chasing was dead, think
again. Four days after my
blizzard-induced accident -
count'em...
four freakin' days - my personalized letter from
the law firm of Hupy and Abraham arrived in the mail. One
day later, a follow-up brochure arrived. These guys are good.

If their persistence doesn't get your attention, then the
name of my local area attorney representative will:
Pete
Naylor
. With a name like that, the marketing opportunities
are almost unlimited:

  • "Pete Naylor drives defendants crazy!!"
  • "Pump up your settlement with Peter Naylor!"
  • "Peter Naylor: Jamming it to the insurance industry
    since 1997."

And that's just what I could think of in the last 5 minutes. I
look forward to future correspondence with this powerful law
firm with a proven record of large settlements.

If you haven't been to the National Farm Machinery Show in
Louisville, Kentucky, then put it on you calendar. It's always
the same week as Valentine's Day, and always filled with
every conceivable piece of farm equipment that a
Midwesterner could possibly use for growing food. I saw the
skid loader of my dreams, a grain cart that defied logic, and
an online dating site just for farmers. Or, as the
FarmersOnly.com site explained, a dating site for those who
just want to be farmers. Or for those who just like the
farming lifestyle and values. The above card was available for
the taking at the machinery show, and apparently there are
quite a few success stories coming from the website.

So if your ideal match is a cattle feeder from Fresno or a pig
producer from Peoria, you've just found a place to meet up.
Or, you can simply travel to Louisville during the week of
Valentine's Day.

Last year I made my first stop at Decatur Dairy, near
Brodhead, Wisconsin and enjoyed its world championship
Muenster cheese. Michelle and I stopped again on our way
back from Madison to pick up some cheese curds, and these
are what we found. If there was ever perfection in the curd,
this is it. You gotta like a little spice with the Wasabi flavor,
but these are the real deal.

Greatest gifts from Mom & Dad:

  1. Life
  2. Education
  3. Milwaukee cordless tools.

Thought I was a lifetime DeWalt guy, but these have
proven themselves. Same power but lighter weight. Also
really like the lights on the drill and the impact driver. Got
these last Christmas and have been pretty darned
impressed.
Love me a creative ad slogan. This showed up in my
mailbox last week.
